Provider and agreement

What Glasshouse does
Glasshouse explains browser-reported extension permissions, estimates their reach on open sites, records local changes and helps you review that information. Chrome Inspector also performs a static analysis of a published Chrome Web Store package after you request a scan. Sealed and the current Firefox builds do not provide that package-scanning feature.
Feature availability depends on the browser, its APIs and policies, and the information it supplies. Firefox may omit permission information for some extensions and does not allow Glasshouse to disable them. Chrome may prevent actions on extensions managed by an organisation.
Permission to use the Extension
Subject to these terms, we grant you a non-exclusive permission to install and use the Extension for lawful personal or internal business purposes. Better Brain Lab and its licensors retain rights in the Extension's original code, design and branding. Third-party components remain subject to their own licences; the distributed package includes third-party notices. Nothing in these terms restricts rights granted by those licences or by applicable law.
Understanding the findings
- Scores are review prompts. They are heuristic summaries, not certifications, security audits or proof that an extension is safe or malicious. A low score is not a safety guarantee; a high score is not a finding of wrongdoing.
- Reported permissions are not observed access. Matching host permissions to open sites estimates declared reach. Browser per-site restrictions, temporary
activeTabgrants and other runtime conditions may change actual access. - Static matches are not execution evidence. Referenced domains, source patterns, library fingerprints and obfuscation indicators may occur in comments, examples or unused code. They do not establish that code ran, data was sent, a vulnerability is exploitable or a developer intended harm. Detectors can miss issues and produce false positives.
- The scanned package may differ from local files. Chrome Inspector reads a published Store package, which may differ from modified or sideloaded files. It does not verify that the package is identical to your installed files. Unreadable or mismatched results are not applied as a new saved score.
- Coverage is bounded. Package-size, file-count and time limits may prevent a scan. Runtime-generated URLs and behaviour outside the scanned text may be missed. A saved result reflects the scan time, package version and analysis rules used at that time.
Use independent judgment and additional checks where appropriate. Glasshouse does not replace browser security protections, professional security advice or your organisation's security policies.
Your actions and responsibilities
Use the Extension only on devices and browser profiles you are authorised to manage. Do not use it for unlawful activity, unauthorised access, harassment, or to misrepresent a static finding as conclusive evidence about another person or product.
You choose whether to enable optional history, scan packages, clear results or disable other extensions. Disabling an extension can interrupt workflows or remove security features. Review the consequences before doing so and follow your organisation's rules. A cancelled or failed rescan does not remove a previously saved result; use Forget scan when you want to delete that result.
Privacy and local data
The Glasshouse Extension Privacy Policy explains local data processing, retention and deletion, and the requests made to Google when you run a Chrome Inspector scan. You are responsible for protecting access to your browser profile and device. Uninstalling the Extension or clearing its local data can remove saved settings, history and results.
Third-party packages, services and stores
Other extensions, their packages, browsers, app stores and linked websites are provided by third parties. Their owners retain their rights, and their applicable terms and policies continue to apply. Glasshouse is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google, Mozilla or the developers of extensions it examines. Store package availability and compatibility can change without our control.
Availability, updates and support
We may update, change or discontinue the Extension or particular features. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every extension or browser, or a specific support response time. Browser stores may distribute updates according to your browser settings. Material changes to these terms will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date; any consent required by applicable law will be requested.
You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it. Questions or issues can be sent to support@betterbrainlab.com.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Extension is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or freedom from defects. Better Brain Lab LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the Extension, reliance on its findings, or actions taken in response to them.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, or removes mandatory consumer rights or statutory remedies available to you.
Governing law and remaining terms
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, subject to any mandatory protections and rights that apply where you live. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
These terms govern the Extension only. Other Better Brain Lab products and services have their own terms. For this website, use the website terms and website privacy policy.
